John's first experience working in an orchestra began at age 16 with the Toronto Symphony. In 1982, John was awarded the position of Principal Trumpet, Victoria Symphony at age 21. In addition to his 25 year performance history, John has been active as a soloist, particularly in music for trumpet and organ of the Baroque Era, and has been recorded on CBC.
